Dr. Shana Barrett Zeitlin

Precision Eye Care was excited to welcome Dr. Zeitlin to the team in late 2023. Dr. Zeitlin has extensive experience in the field of ocular disease, including the diagnosis of macular degeneration and visually significant cataracts and the treatment of multiple types of glaucoma. Dr. Zeitlin has a particular interest in medical optometry, especially geriatric eye care. She has worked in numerous skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, and has developed proficiency working with patients who can be difficult to examine, including those with dementia, advanced multiple sclerosis, and marked cerebral palsy. Dr. Zeitlin is also skilled in contact lens fittings, including multifocal, toric, and gas permeable lens fittings, as well as general primary care optometry. She sees patients in both the Downingtown and West Chester locations of Precision Eye Care.

Dr. Zeitlin licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey to the highest therapeutic level. She is a current member of the American Academy of Home Care Medicine, the American Optometric Association, and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. She served as the chair of the POA Student Membership Committee and was a member of the POA Legislative Action Committee. She is a board member and past president of the Bucks-Montgomery Optometric Society. Dr. Zeitlin is an adjunct professor at the Community College of Philadelphia, and she lectures nationally to allied health personnel, including ophthalmic technicians and opticians.

Dr. Zeitlin currently resides in Delaware County with her husband, sons, and their small white fuzzy dog. In her spare time, Dr. Zeitlin enjoys ballet and ballroom dancing, cooking gourmet meals, and planning her family’s next vacation.

Nancy Chabla

Primary Location: Downingtown
Nancy is the Office Manager and Administrator at our Downingtown office. She has been with Precision Eye Care for many years and is a familiar and welcome face for patients! She is kind and efficient and always eager to help. Nancy is also fluent in Spanish and can assist Spanish-speaking patients on the phone and during their visits to the office. Outside the office, Nancy feels family is everything! She enjoys spending time with her husband, their three boys, and their extended family. 

Mike Syrylo

Primary Location: West Chester
Mike is the Office Manager and Lead Optician at our West Chester office. He has been working with Dr. Yannelli since the opening of that office and has been key in establishing its place in the West Chester community. Those who already know him are familiar with his polite manner, honest guidance, and ability to explain all optical matters clearly. He is happy to assist patients in the optical on the day of their eye exam, on a walk-in basis, or by private appointment. Outside of the office, Mike loves golfing, playing the guitar, and is active in the tabletop gaming community. He has also represented Precision Eye Care in charity golf events. 

Pamela Scales

Primary Location: Downingtown
As the lead optician in the Downingtown office, Pamela brings years of optical expertise to the Precision Eye Care team. She is experienced and knowledgeable in all areas of optical lenses, frames/eyewear, fitting, repair, and products. Her gentle demeanor and ability to clearly explain all optical options puts patients right at ease. She is available to assist patients in the optical on the day of their appointment or on a stop-in basis. She welcomes anyone in the community to see her for their eyewear needs, even if they are not a current patient. One-on-one optical appointments with her are also available by request. Pamela grew up in the south and has raised her family in Downingtown with her husband, Tom. She loves attending events for her two children, especially cheering on her son in the award-winning Downingtown West High School Band. 

Scarlett Murray

Primary Location: West Chester
Quick with a smile and greeting, Scarlett epitomizes friendly care you can expect at Precision Eye Care! You can often find her at the front desk of the West Chester office and assisting with some of the tests and measurements prior to your eye exam. She loves spending time with her two girls around town in West Chester and is especially passionate about music and concerts (just ask her about Rick Springfield)! She is active in the community and serves as a liason for the office in local business and networking groups. 

Emilie Smeltz

Primary Location: Downingtown
Emily assists the Precision Eye Care team with billing and accounting work and is occasionally in-office helping out up front! Although some of her work is behind-the-scenes, she has been a valuable part of the PEC family for years. She grew up in the Downingtown area and is raising her three children here with her husband. You will often find her helping out at her kids school and with their extra curricular activities.
