We provide comprehensive Optometric services that encompass diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye disease as well as traditional refractive services. The office uses state-of-the-art refractive equipment that sets us apart from other optometry offices. This garners exceptional results for our patients. 

The optical at Precision Eye Care sells ophthalmic frames and lenses, prescription and non-prescription sun wear, and contact lenses. We utilize modern services and products to optimize the ocular health and vision of our patients and emphasize exceptional patient care.

Medical Eye Examinations

In Medical Eye Examinations, we look for known or suspected ocular or systemic issues including, but not limited to: conjunctivitis (pink eye), ocular allergies, infection, flashes/floaters, visual obstruction/sudden change, foreign body, diabetes, and high blood pressure. If you have or suspect these or other problems, please notify us when scheduling.

Comprehensive Vision Evaluations

In a Comprehensive Vision Evaluation, we thoroughly evaluate your visual system from eye muscle movement/coordination, depth perception, color vision, refraction (establish your eyeglass prescription), and dilated retinal examination.

Contact Lens Fitting

From one-day lenses to specialty contacts, there are lenses to fit most people. We select the right lens for you and we coach you on proper use and wear. The fitting can often be on the same day as your comprehensive vision exam.

Dry Eye Syndrome

Dry Eye Syndrome impacts over 16 million Americans, and disproportionately affects women. For many, this is a chronic condition that requires ongoing maintenance. If you are suffering from dry eyes, we can discuss this in your exam and determine a personalized solution for you.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is an eye disease that takes away your visual system's ability to communicate vision properly from your eyes to your brain. You cannot feel Glaucoma, and many people do not perceive the vision loss until it is too late. Everyone should have an annual comprehensive vision exam to check for Glaucoma, but especially those who have a family history of this condition.

Myopia

Myopia is a condition commonly referred to as nearsightedness. For most people with Myopia, they see better up close than they do far away. If you have very high prescriptions to correct your Myopia, your doctor may talk to you about potential risks to your eye as a result of that high prescription.

Astigmatism

Astigmatism is an uneven curvature to your eye. It affects the way light focuses in, and thereby affects the sharpness of your vision. Glasses and contact lenses can be used to correct for astigmatism so that you experience the sharpest vision possible.

Cataract

A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye. If you vision quality is too reduced from cataracts, you may need cataract surgery to have them removed. During your exam, we look thoroughly at your lens to see if you have any cataracts developing, and if so, what steps we should take to ensure you have the best vision possible.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetes is one of the leading cause of blindness in the United States. At the time of your exam, we look thoroughly at your retina for any signs of diabetic eye disease. If there are signs, we might discuss adjusting your treatment with your Primary Care Physician, or consulting with a retinal specialist to ensure we are doing everything we can to maintain your retinal health with diabetes.

Hordeolum

A Hordeolum is more commonly known as a stye, and is an impacted and infected eye gland. We recommend starting treatment early to prevent further infection and more severe pain.

Color Vision Deficiency

Color Vision Deficiency is a very common condition that disproportionately affects boys or men more than women. If you suspect you or your child has a Color Vision Deficiency, we can evaluate that for you at the time of your exam.

Macular Degeneration

We evaluate very carefully during your exams for any damage to your maculas, a special part of your retina. If you have a family history of this condition, or you have a genetic marker that makes you more prone to Macular Degeneration, we can put preventative measures in place to help protect against Macular Degeneration.

Computer Vision Syndrome

If you work on the computer for many hours each day, you may be concerned about how that might affect your vision. Computer Vision Syndrome can result in dry eyes, focusing issues, or even positional issues while you look at the computer screen. During your exam, we will discuss the way you use your eyes throughout the day, and incorporate some solutions to help you maintain proper focus and moisture for your eyes.

Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis is more commonly known as pink eye. Most people associate this with bacterial infections, but there can also be viral or allergic components to pink eye. If you suspect you or your child have conjunctivitis, we will do an exam and use our microscope to determine the underlying cause and what the best treatment options will be for you.

Uveitis

Uveitis is a form of internal eye inflammation that can be associated with some autoimmune disorders. It can also occur spontaneously on its own.

If you have unusual sensitivity to light or unusual pain or discomfort to your eyes, you should make an appointment for an exam to check for Uveitis or similar conditions.

Floaters and Spots

Most floaters and spots are naturally occurring pieces of collagen and protein that are in the gel that fills the sphere of your eye. If you are seeing new floaters or spots that have never been evaluated by a doctor, you should have those checked right away to ensure your eye is healthy.
